A Part - Time Registered Nurse position is available within the Human Services Department of Washington County, Behavioral Health Division. Twenty four hours will be scheduled during the day between Monday through Friday! , with the possibility of some early evening hours. Required Education, Training and Experience: A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and one year of experience or an Associates Degree in Nursing and two years of experience, registration as a Professional Nurse in the State of Wisconsin and a valid Wisconsin driver's license.

Position Summary:
Under the general direction of! the Outpatient Services Coordinator, responsible for the coor! dination, administration, and management of Outpatient Services client medications as well as clients in other program areas.

Duties/Responsibilities:
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or allâ€'inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

Establishes client medications for daily or weekly distribution. Administers appropriate medications and injections, as necessary.

Coordinates medication follow-up with program psychiatrist, staff, pharmacies, group homes and other community resources. Reports medication changes to the appropriate persons.

Participates in client education in areas of medication, health and wellness.

Consults with private physicians to coordinate client care. Obtains written clinical information relative to client treatment.

Assesses physical and mental status as needed for medical follow-up.

Maintain medication reco! rds, clinical records, and other administrative records.

Attends Outpatient team meetings, coordinates treatment plans with staff and other agencies.

Work Direction Received:
Works under the general supervision of the Outpatient Services Coordinator.

Supervision Exercised:
None.

Decision Making:
Decisions concerning scheduling appointments with psychiatrists, medication administration, noting changes in client condition and other daily activities are made independently.

Interaction:
There is significant interaction with psychiatrists, FETP therapists, pharmacists, community treatment providers, clients, families, and other programs of the Human Services Department.

Essential Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of current nursing theory and practice, applicable State, Federal, and County laws, rules, and regulations pertaining to clients and special needs of clients. A! bility to analyze client conditions, recognize significant changes in c! onditions, communicate effectively orally and in writing, and interact effectively with other health professionals, clients and others. Able to fulfill physical demands of job, sensory demands (seeing and hearing), and cognitive demands (concentration, conceptualization, memorization).

Training and Experience:
A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and one year of experience or an Associates Degree in Nursing and two years of experience, registration as a Professional Nurse in the State of Wisconsin and a valid Wisconsin driver's license.
