The College of Nursing invites candidates with clinical expertise and strong clinical teaching skills to submit applications for a clinical teaching position in the Collegeâs Veteran Administration and Nursing Academic Partnership program. The position requires excellence in teaching undergraduate students and strong communication and collaboration skills. This faculty role includes assessment, planning, design, implementation, coordination and evaluation of course curriculum; development, implementation and coordination of learning resources; continual monitoring of participant progress; and collaboration with other stakeholders, disciplines and departments internal and external to Marquette University. In addition, faculty will also promote the values, mission and vision of VAMC Milwaukee and Marquette University.
Essential Functions
Duties and Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the successful candidate include:
- Commitment to continued development of excellence in teachi! ng and service.
- Ability to direct and lead students effectively, communicating with faculty and administration on all aspects regarding VANAP program.
- Provide leadership in improving and sustaining the quality and effectiveness of the VANAP curriculum.
- Provide direct supervision of nursing students in VANAP clinical sites and classroom settings.
Masters Degree preferred or substantial progress toward the terminal degree.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Minimum requirements include: graduate degree in nursing, eligibility for Wisconsin licensure, and commitment to undergraduate clinical teaching. Demonstrated potential for teaching excellence and service. The candidate should be forward thinking and committed to preparing the next generation of nurses for excellence in practice.
