Centra Healthcare Solutions is seeking to hire an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) that is licensed or in the immediate process, and qualifies, of obtaining RN licensure in this respective state to work in the specialty area of OB Clinical Education. This assignment is flexible as a local contract, local contract to direct hire, or as a travel assignment.
The Clinical Educator is a professional Registered Nurse who assumes responsibility for staff development in the depar! tment setting. The Clinical Educator works within the Professi! onal Practice Model of Aspirus Wausau Hospital. The Professional Practice Model is supported by a set of values and beliefs that provide a context for the Clinical Educator?s clinical practice and decision-making. This position routinely uses evidence based practice and CQI principles in guiding education. Performs mobility coaching. Is an active member of Collaborative Practice Council. Assists with NICU orientation scheduling needs.13 week contract8 hour days
Requirements include:
Must have graduated from an accredited school.
Current state license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or willing to obtain licensure in another state, assuming that all pre-requisites have been satisfied.
Current CPR certification.
Current BLS card. NRP certification Past OB education experience and program development Experience running mock codes/emergency drills and strip review
Minimum of 5 years L&D experience with some Level III perinatal care being preferred.!
Duties and Responsibilities
Assesses patient needs, signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient's condition
Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care
Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and information from health care members and documents actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses.
Documents the patient's plan of care using identified nursing diagnoses, expected patient outcomes, and selected nursing interventions.
Provides a safe, comfortable and therapeutic patient environment.
Initiates and evaluates patient and/or family education.
Revises and documents the plan of care according to evaluation, changes in medical plan of care, and effective/ineffective nursing interventions.
Monitors the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment.
