Radiology Department
The Radiology Department is on the third floor adjacent to the ER/OR/TLC units and has state-of-the-ar! t diagnostic and treatment equipment providing imaging service to both inpatients and outpatients. The D3 West module includes Angio/Interventional Radiology providing neuro and body interventional diagnostic and treatment procedures, the GI/GU, and the General Imaging Section. The E3 West module includes Radiology Prep and Recovery Unit, CT Scan, Ultrasound, and Mammography. The E3 West module includes the MRI and the Nuclear Medicine Sections. Nursing care is provided in the Radiology Prep and Recovery Unit, CT Scan, Ultrasound, Angio/Interventional and MRI Sections with screenings, patient prep, and intra-procedure care including conscious sedation, post procedure care, and education.
Qualifications
Education:
1. Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred.
Work Experience:
1. One year critical care experience required. (Critical care experience may include ICU, PACU, Cath Lab, IMC and Hemodialysis.)
2. Two (2) years cri! tical care experience preferred.
3. Radiology experience p! referred..
4. Pediatric experience preferred.
Licenses & Certifications:
1. Registration as a professional nurse in the State of Wisconsin required.
2. CPR certification required.
3. ACLS certification required.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
1. Knowledge regarding quality improvement and standards of care within practice area.
2. Experience in teaching patients and families.
3. Excellent communication skills.
4. Ability to effectively work with other nursing team members, physicians and technologists.
Physical Requirements: Medium- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting/and or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
Pay
This is a Represented position and falls into Pay Grade 6FR. The salary range begins at $29.43 per hour. Education, experience, tenure and internal equity may be taken into consideration when job offers are extended.
Work Schedule
100%, Day/Evening, 8/10/12 hour shifts. On call shifts may be required. Hours may vary based on operational needs of the department.
