F4M5 - Cardiac Medical Intensive Care
Nurses on this seven-bed unit are dedicated to providi! ng high quality intensive care to critically ill cardiac patients. Patients are likely to be individuals with myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure, rhythm disturbances, pulmonary edema, or cardiogenic shock. In addition, medical patients with sepsis, acute renal failure, hematologic disturbances and respiratory failure may be admitted to this unit. Primary nursing care is delivered with a mixture of technological expertise and a positive commitment to meeting patient and family needs.
Qualifications
Education:
1. BSN preferred.
Work Experience:
1. One (1) year previous Cardiology and IMC experience or previous ICU experience with strong cardiology focus required.
2. Previous cardiology medical ICU experience preferred.
Licenses & Certifications:
1. Registration as a professional nurse in the State of Wisconsin required.
2. CPR required.
3. ACLS certification required.
Req! uired Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
1. Knowledge r! egarding quality improvement and standards of care within practice area.
2. Experience in teaching patients and families.
3. Excellent communication skills. Ability to effectively delegate and supervise the work of other nursing team members.
Physical Requirements: Medium- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting/and or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
Pay
This is a Represented position and falls into Pay Grade 6FR. The salary range begins at $29.43per hour. Education, experience, tenure and internal equity may be taken into consideration when job offers are extended.
Work Schedule
90%, Evening/Night, 8/12 hour shifts, A weekend rotation. Hours may vary based on operational needs of the department.
