Pharmacy Billing Specialist

Location: Wausau Wisconsin

Description: North Central Healthcare is currently seeking to employ Pharmacy Billing Specialist right now, this occupation will be placed in Wisconsin. The purpose of this position is to ensure and process, accurately and efficiently, billing, statements, and payments for the pharmacy department under the supe! rvision of the Pharmacy Director. They will perform responsibilities which will enhance the reputation and service orientation of the NCHC Pharmacy department.

This is a fulltime, hourly position in our Pharmacy. Monday - Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm. Infrequent weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High School graduation or equivalent required.

Two years of Pharmacy Technician experience required.

One year of NCHC Pharmacy Technician II experience required or equivalent QS1 pharmacy processor knowledge and billing experience.

Current certification as a pharmacy technician (CPhT) is preferred, but not required.

Must pass criminal background check.

Must be physically able to perform work duties.

Must be able to follow written and oral direction in English.

Must provide proof of employment eligibility.

DESCRIPTION OF JOB:
Must be able to perform the major duties and responsibilities ! of a Pharmacy Technician II if the need arises.

Provi! des leadership and support for NCHC Pharmacy department with regard to pharmacy billing issues which involves all payer sources.

Timely monitoring of pharmacy “electronic claims log scan” to assure accurate pharmacy billing.

Monitoring of prior authorizations to ensure payment from PBMs to NCHC Pharmacy.

Prepare and send statements for group home, CSP, nursing home, hospice and private pay clients.

Track and report reconciliation payments from 835s utilizing Net-Rx web portal.

Responsible for pharmacy aging in QS1 (pharmacy processor program) which includes identifying and acting on any outstanding accounts.

Work with Pharmacy Director in pursuing pharmacy contracts with PBMs when required to fulfill pharmacy billing obligations.

Attend morning MVCC meetings to provide the pharmacy department with updated information with regard to admits, discharges, bed changes and census.

Work directly with Finan! ce to provide financial statements and required monthly financial data.

Work with Pharmacy Director to ensure that pharmacy auditing information is addressed in a timely and accurate fashion.

Work directly with MVCC’s Nursing Patient Advocate Representative to address prior authorization and/or formulary exception issues.

Ability to organize and prioritize routine tasks and/or new assignments.

Must be detail orientated, accurate, and able to maintain data integrity.

Knowledge of general pharmacy terminology, brand and generic names of medications, and general medical terminology.

Detailed knowledge of pharmacy insurance procedures.

Data entry and keyboarding experience.

Ability to interact with patients and staff through effective oral and/or written communication.

Must be proficient on pharmacy software.

COMPENSATION:
Competitive hourly wage based on Market Average and ex! perience.
