Description: ThedaCare is currently interviewing Trauma Nurse Coordinator right now, this position will be placed in Wisconsin. The Trauma Nurse Coordinator is a registered nurse who has responsibilities for trauma patient rounding, trauma performance improvement, and maintaining Theda Clark as a Level II trauma center verified by the American College of Surgeons (ACS). Trauma Performance improvement encompasses a continuous, multidisciplinary effort to monitor, measure, evaluate and improve the process of trauma care and its outcome across the continuum of care. Maintaining trauma services required for an ACS nationally verified Level II trauma center includes an organized, multi-disciplinary approach to caring for the trauma patient within a trauma system. The trauma nurse coordinator works closely with the hospital medical staff, administration, department managers, ancillary services, and nursing personnel to provide high level trauma care.

Essential Job Duties:
Coordinates the management of trauma care in a multi-disciplinary system.

Leads Trauma Performance Improvement activities and data collection of trauma patients.

Monitors and evaluates the care of trauma patients.

Assists with coordination of education to pre-hospital providers, hospital staff/depts, community and referring hospitals on current trauma care concepts.

Ensures that prevention activities are an integral part of a trauma care delivery system.

Demonstrates leadership skills in the Trauma Dept for both TC and AMC trauma employees.

Job Qualifications:
Requirements:
Experience:
RN with a minimal of 2 years acute care clinical experience preferrably in the in the ICU and/or

Emergency Department. Clinical trauma background required. Quality improvement experience

preferred.

Education:
BSN. Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills required.

Public speaking and instructional skills required.

Excel, Word and Power point computer skills required.
