The Medical Assistant assists the practitioner in providing care for neonatal, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients by performing nursing procedures and patient education within guidelines set for the position.

This is a 0.5 FTE position (20 hours per week) with days hours along with a Saturday rotation (4 hour shift).

1. Performs all aspects of nursing. 2. Manages patient telephone calls and physician paperwork. 3. Promotes an environment of teamwork, customer service and positive communication. 4. Complies with department and facility standards in all areas.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education (CMA)

  • Graduate of approved Medical Assistant program
  • Certification required within 1 year of employment (AAMA or AMT).
Education (LPN)
  • Current WI license
Experience
  • Prefer prior clinic experience
Skills
  • Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Flexible, able to fill different roles as needed
  • High quality nursing skills
  • Proficient computer skills
Physical Requirements Frequent: walking/standing; sitting/balancing;

Occasional: reaching from above shoulder height to floor height; climbing; patient repositioning of 0 to 200; pushing/pulling of 0 to 400; patient transfers of 0 to 100; lifting/carrying of 0 to 100; Crawling/Kneeling/ Kneeling/Squatting; pivoting; repetitive movement; final manual dexterity. Must be able to be around hazardous substances and harmful physical agents. Good vision and normal color vision. Normal hearing. 1. Performs all aspects of nursing. 2.
