The nursing assistant assists patients with delegated tasks of direct and indirect patient care, which support nursing practice under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. The nursing assistant carries out designated activities that are within those functions limited by law to unlicensed nursing personnel. This includes assisting patients with activities of daily living, providing basic nursing care to patients, and assisting in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment. The nursing assistant also promotes guest relations by interacting and responding to patients, visitors, and staff in an appropriate and professional manner. In addition, participates in performance improvement activities.
Basic Qualifications:
Flexibility (works flexible hours, which include days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends) Basic computer skills Ability to read and communicate effectively in English Verbal and written communication Promotes team building Self-directed Able to adapt to unpredictable situations
Other Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent
License or Certification:
Certified Nursing Assistant on State of Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry Current BLS Certification
Benefit Eligible: No Exemption Status: Non-exempt Hours/Pay Period: 8 Schedule Details: One shift per pay period. Will fill in when needed for vacations, sick calls, or FMLA Weekend Schedule: As needed
