River Falls Area Hospital (RFAH) is located in River Falls, Wis., just 30 minutes east of St.

Paul, Minnesota. RFAH has 20 staffed beds, 210 employees and more than 156 affiliated physicians. The shared medical campus includes primary care and specialty clinics, a long-term care facility and a wellness and fitness center. A broad range of inpatient and outpatient hospital services are provided to approximately 28,000 patients each year.

Responsibilities Experience nurse able to use the nursing process, provide education as needed, use of EMR documentation, effectiv! e communicator, strong patient advocate and functions in a pro! fessional manner Will take call per the contract and will be included in the mandatory low census rotation per contract This position exists to deliver nursing care as part of the overall patient care process in Same Day Surgery Provide direct nursing care of same day surgical patients Qualifications Education/Experience Graduate of an accredited nursing program, current Wisconsin licensure Experience in conscious sedation and PACU within the last six months Previous Same Day Surgery and endoscopy experience required Must be able to function in pre and post operative phone calls, pre and post operative care and prep ACLS Medical terminology BLS PALS Skills Demonstrated strong patient care and critical thinking, and decision making skills Ability to remain calm in a fast paced environment Demonstrated ability/desire to develop clinical skills of others Excellent interpersonal and positive communication skills Organizational skills Ability to direct, lead and motivate and pri! oritize effectively, teamwork Basic computer skills RN hires with less than 1 year of RN experience must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing (American Association of Colleges of Nursing or The National League for Nursing) which is inclusive of a clinical rotation in an acute care facility.
