Job Descri! ption
The primary responsibility of the paramedic is to respond to 911 calls, securing the helipad and other pre-hospital duties. In addition, in the hospital the Paramedic (EMT-P) assists with patient care based on individual patient needs within the scope of practice under direct supervision of a registered nurse. The Paramedic provides supportive care to the Emergency Department patients and performs approved procedures per policy. The Paramedic assists patients with activities of daily living and assists with the maintenance of a safe and clean environment.

Basic Qualifications:
Minimum: EMT-PARAMEDIC National Registry; One year of experience as EMT IT or EMT-Paramedic. One year inpatient hospital experience, preferred; Acceptable driving record; Preferred: one year inpatient hospital experience.

License or Certification:
Current BLS certification; Current ACLS certification; Current Pals certification.

Exem! ption Status: Non-exempt
Hours/Pay Period: 60 Schedule Details: Days and Hours Vary.

Weekend Schedule:
Compensation Detail: Education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $15.64 per hour.
