Housekeeper .5 PM shift

Description: Attic Angel Association is presently looking of Housekeeper .5 PM shift right now, this position will be placed in Wisconsin. Performs the tasks needed to keep the Health Center and Household Resident Rooms and common areas, including serveries and dining rooms, in a clean and sanitary condition that pr! ovides for the welfare and care of the residents in a healthful environment.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:
1. Responsible for the evening cleaning of the common areas which includes, but is
not limited to, vacuuming, dusting furniture and woodwork, and cleaning
bathrooms each evening.
2. Cleans the common areas of the facility as needed.
3. Dusts and vacuums the Parlors, Dining Room, Hallways, Physical Therapy, and
Fitness rooms.
4. Cleans the offices in the Health Center and Households as assigned.
5. Cleans the Servery and dining rooms in the Health Center and Households, including mopping and vacuuming the floors.
6. Performs emergency cleanup duties as requested by the Nursing Staff.
7. Assures work areas are clean, dry, and safe for residents, staff, and visitors by using warning signs where wet.
8. Works designated hours to enable the facility to provide appropriate housekee! ping coverage.
9. Develops and maintains effective wo! rking relationships with residents, their families, fellow employees, volunteers, and the general public.
10. Meets the continuous quality improvement standards set by the Plant Operations Department.
11. Change linens on beds when assigned.
12. Helps bring residents down for evening meals when needed.
13. Performs laundry duties as assigned.
14. Will float to Prairie Point as needed.
15. Cleans carpets as assigned.
16. Performs deep clean of rooms as assigned.
17. Covers hours of other PM Shift Housekeeper(s) as necessary.
18. Other duties as assigned.
SECONDARY AND PERIODIC POSITION FUNCTIONS:
1. Serves on various committees as assigned.
2. Attends required inservices and approved continuing education programs.

The week! end position functions vary with a combination of resident and public areas, which include cleaning of resident rooms and public areas in the Health Center.
RISK EXPOSURE:
Category II: Tasks that involve no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues, but employment may require unplanned or occasional Category I tasks. (Category I: Tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissues.)
WORKING CONDITIONS:
1. Performs most duties under artificial lighting, with some daylight through windows; occasionally required to leave building for short periods of time, during all seasons.
2. Facility has both carpeted and tiled floors. Facility grounds have concrete walkways, gardens, and grassy areas.
3. Facility is air conditioned during the summer months and heated/humidified during the winter season.
4. Exposure to the peculiarities of the aged.
5. Performs some cleaning duties with Hazardous! Chemicals.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. High schoo! l diploma or equivalent preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
1. Previous housekeeping experience helpful.
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:
1. Ability to understand and communicate verbally in the English language, and to follow oral and written instructions.
2. Ability to learn housekeeping procedures, and operation and maintenance of housekeeping equipment.
3. Ability to operate housekeeping equipment.
4. Abides by established safety techniques when handling hazardous chemicals in performance of duties.
5. Trustworthy and dependable, with willingness to accept suggestions and ability to cooperate.
6. High degree of personal cleanliness and hygiene, neat and well groomed in appearance.
7. Exhibits a sincere desire to work with the elderly, and an interest in the understanding of the aging process.
8. Capability of a flexible work schedule with weekend and holiday duties.
9. Successfully ! completes a physical exam and TB skin test or chest x-ray, asnecessary.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Sits, stands, bends, and walks intermittently during the day.
2. Bend to touch toes, bend at waist, and able to do knee squats.
3. Full extension of arms above head and to front of body.
4. Frequently lifts weight of up to 25 pounds. Lifts up to 75 pounds infrequently with a variety of assistance from other staff or equipment.
5. Push cart of 50-150 pounds, 50-500 feet.
