Nursing Assistant Trainees will receive training and provide direct and indirect care to residents including daily hygiene, nutrition, safety and comfort needs. Work is performed under close progressing to lim! ited supervision of licensed nursing staff.

Special Notes :
1. Trainees must be able to work holidays, weekends, and all three shifts; AM shift (5:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m.), PM shift (1:45 p.m.-10:15 p.m.), and Night shift (10:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.). Trainees must be available to work additional shifts as required to maintain facility's required staffing levels.2. Due to the nature of the position Trainees must pass a background check prior to appointment. 3. Trainees must have a negative TB test, which will be administered by medical personnel approved by the facility.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
These positions require the ability to learn and apply nursing care procedures; rules and regulations pertinent to nursing care; ability to safely use equipment and materials pertinent to nursing care; ability to learn and practice safety and infection control principles. Oral and written communication skills; ability to work effectively with! a diverse resident population (elderly, cognitively and physi! cally disabled); and function as a member of a multi-disciplinary patient care team.

Salary is $12.844 per hour. This position is in pay schedule and range 06-10. A 12-month probationary period is required.
