Responsibilities:

… At Aurora Health Care our Nurs! ing Assistant Health Unit Coordinators provide basic patient c! are in the clinical setting under the daily direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN). They perform delegated tasks in the patient care setting that supports the environment of patient care.

Assisting physicians and other health care team members with hospital systems as needed to access patient information, i.e., medical records, documentation systems. Supporting communication required to facilitate patient care.

Assisting the RN with the care of the patients including bathing, oral, hygiene, repositioning, ambulating, and feeding.

Measuring and documenting blood pressures, TRPs (temperature, pulse, and respiration), I & O (intake and output), daily weights, and other patient data as requested.

Preparing patient rooms for admission/discharge and assisting with patient admission/discharge process.

Coordinating tests and treatments with and between various departments for the patients on the nursing units.

Ma! intaining a working knowledge of the functions and services offered by all diagnostic and treatment departments in order to facilitate the scheduling of tests and treatments.

Qualifications:
Nurse Aide in good standing with the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry.

Advanced training beyond High School in Nurse Assisting.

Medical terminology and keyboarding/word processing skills strongly preferred.

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt to interruptions and changing priorities/workloads.

High level of attention to detail essential.

Maintains a working knowledge of drugs and their categories according to site/department specific policy.

Desired Qualifications

Previous CNA/HUC experience preferred.

Scheduled Hours:
Required Hours: 2nd and 3rd shift - part time 40 hours every 2 weeks.

Weekend Hours: Every other

Holiday Hours: Every other
