Responsibilities:
Works with leadership in the development, implementation, management and evaluation of neonatal programs, policies
and procedures, and clinical guidelines. Analyzes program standards and needs; may assume coordination responsib! ility for a program(s).
Must be able to demonstrate knowle! dge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients
served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the
ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each
patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the
department's policies and procedures. Age-specific information is developed further in the departmental job standards.
Qualifications:
Ability to effectively exercise independent judgment in the assessment, diagnosis and initiation of nursing and delegated
medical processes and procedures.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as an effective member of a health care team.
Ability to work in a fast paced, high stress environment while managing multiple demands.
Excellent oral and written com! munication skills. Ability to effectively collaborate with and establish/build relationships with
others.
Proven organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively.
Excellent decision making and leadership skills to resolve complex patient care and administrative issues.
