Job Description The primary responsibility of the paramedic is to respond to 911 calls, securing the helipad and other pre-hospital duties. In addition, in the hospital the Paramedic (EMT-P) assists with patient care based on individual patient needs within the scope of practice under direct supervision of a registered nurse. The Paramedic provides supportive care to the Emergency Department patients and performs approved procedures per policy. The Paramedic assists patients with activities of daily living and assists with the maintenance of a safe and clean environment.

Basic Qualifications:
One year of experience as EMT IT or EMT-Paramedic. One year inpatient hospital experience, preferred; Acceptable driving record;

Other Qualifications:
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Basic computer knowledge Decisions making and problem solving, spoken and written communication skills, team building, able to perform duties in a self directed manner.

Benefit Eligible: No Exemption Status: Non-exempt Hours/Pay Period: per diem Schedule Details: Variable shifts of call time for 911 response

Weekend Schedule:
Compensation Detail: Education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $14.70 per hour.
