The position requires excellence in teaching undergraduate students and strong communication and collaboration skills. This faculty role includes assessment, planning, design, implementation, coordination and evaluation of course curriculum; development, implementation and coordination of learning resources; continual monitoring of participant progress; and collaboration with other stakeholders, disciplines and departments internal and external to Marquette University. In addition, faculty will also promote the values, mission and vision of Marquette University.

Essential Functions

Duties and Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the successful candidate include:

• Commitment to continued development of excellence in teaching and service.
• Ability to direct and lead students effectively, communicating with faculty and administration.
• Pro! vide leadership in improving and sustaining the quality and ef! fectiveness of the curriculum.
• Provide direct supervision of nursing students in clinical sites and classroom settings.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Master’s Degree preferred or substantial progress toward the terminal degree.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Minimum requirements include: graduate degree in nursing, eligibility for Wisconsin licensure, and commitment to undergraduate clinical teaching. Demonstrated potential for teaching excellence and service. The candidate should be forward thinking and committed to preparing the next generation of nurses for excellence in practice.
