Ministry Saint Clare's Hospital is looking for a full-time Telemetry Technician to join our ICU team.
The Telemetry Technician, working in collaboration with the primary physician and registered nurse, is a vital member of the patient care team. The Telemetry Technician will effectively monitor patient's cardiac rate and rhythm and keep accurate records of that information.

As a member of the patient care team, the technician is responsible and accountable for proper notification of changes in cardiac rhythms and rates, which may necessitate treatment. The technician is responsible for providing indirect quality patient care by means of maintaining proper functioning equipment and supplies, keeping an organized work area, providing patient information to physicians and other staff.

At times, the technician may need to provide direct patient care as part of the scope of the position. We are looking for someone who has been in a position to monitor heart rhythms or can read EKG's, typically coming from a healthcare background.

Qualifications

High School Graduate or GED is preferred

Prior healthcare experience is required

Prior experience as Telemetry Technician or EKG Tech is strongly preferred

Medical Terminology course completion strongly encouraged
