Responsibilities:
Creates, coordinates and presents clinical competency training, inservices and education programs in compliance with established policies and procedures for designated staff. Determines additional training needs by collaborating with site management and assessing staff devel! opment needs and skills. Evaluates training program results for maximum effectiveness and efficiency. Compiles and analyzes evaluation surveys and shares/presents information to leaders to enhance training and orientation, and makes recommendations for changes. Establishes and maintains the responsibilities of the preceptor role fulfilled by the site clinical staff. Assists in the selection and development of clinical preceptors. Trains clinical staff on preceptor duties and responsibilities and acts as a resource as needed in regard to staff competencies and training needs. In collaboration with preceptors and site leadership, participates in the standardization of clinical education throughout the region. Represents assigned site/market at system level education meetings.
Qualifications:
Registered Nurse license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association! (AHA). May obtain within 6 months based on department discretion.
! Requires 5 years of experience in nursing in that includes experiences in adult teaching or training, nursing resource, strong clinical assessment skills, preceptor/educator role, leadership skills, and an understanding of outpatient environments.
Advanced computer skills including Microsoft office applications (word processing, spreadsheets), electronic mail and electronic medical records / physician registration systems.
Excellent organization, communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills.
Ability to comfortably speak to small/large groups, networking, relationship building.
Demonstrated adaptability, flexibility and the ability to coordinate multiple tasks.
Exceptional customer service skills. Human relations, interpersonal skills, dealing with sensitive situations.
Desired Qualifications
At least 1 year of experience in a clinic is preferred
EPIC experience is essential
