RN Unit Manager / Resident Care Manager

We have a full-time opportunity for a Unit Manager. The Unit Manager assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of residents within the nursing center. This nursing care is provided through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care. The Unit Manager will also supervise the care provided by nurses and nursing assistants.

Primary duties of the position include:
Directing and supervising nursing staff including making work assignments, enforcing policies and ensuring quality customer service and care. Overseeing all assigned Extendicare core programs and adheres to the standards of care. Participating in training programs and orienting of new staff Ensures care plans are being carried out appropriately as well as participating in care conferences as needed. On call as scheduled Other duties and tasks as assigned.

Qualified candidates will be a Licensed Registered Nurse with management or supervisory experience preferred in skilled nursing or long-term care.
