The AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin, Inc. (ARCW), Wisconsin’s largest statewide provider of HIV prevention, care and treatment services, is seeking a Part-time Clinic Nurse. The Clinic Nurse provides nursing care to patients in the ARCW Medical Center Milwaukee and Kenosha Medical Clinics. The Clinic Nurse is part of an integrated care team that is aligned with a medical provider and a medical case manager and provides care to a select roster of patients. The Clinic Nurse assists with development and maintenance of clinical pro! tocols, policies and procedures, collects data for the ARCW me! dical Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) program and provides valuable input for day-to-day operations of the clinics. The Clinic Nurse also participates in research projects requiring a nurse assessment and intervention. In addition, the Clinic Nurse collaborates with other professional ARCW staff and staff from other agencies to ensure ARCW patients receive specialty care and supportive services.
Qualified applicants will have:
- Wisconsin Unrestricted Licensed Registered Nurse, BSN prepared
- One year or greater experience in medical/surgical nursing or clinic nursing in a primary or specialty care clinic
- Thorough knowledge of nursing practice standards
- Certification CPR-BLS
- Ability to travel to other ARCW offices
- Exemplary customer services skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to be flexible in work hours
- Knowledge and sensitivity to HIV/AIDS patients and ability t! o work with diverse populations
- AIDS Certified Registered Nurse Certification (ACRN)
Qualified candidates must possess a valid Wisconsin Drivers License, an insurable driving record and reliable vehicle. Ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
